James Bennet

James Bennett is Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Religious Studies, where he has taught since 2002. His research has examined the intersection of religion and race and the United States and marginal religious communities. His current work focuses on the Modern Anticult Movement, a project that grew out of the Inventing Religion in America class that is the basis of this blog entry.
