New Leavey Partnership with Ascend Norcal Aims to Expand Programming and Networking Opportunities for the Pan-Asian Business Community
Next month, Pan-Asian business leaders from across Northern California will convene at the Leavey School of Business for an evening of networking and insights as part of a new partnership between the Leavey School of Business and Ascend NorCal.
Ascend NorCal is the Northern California chapter of Ascend, the largest global network advancing Pan-Asian professionals in the workplace and corporate boardrooms. Ascend’s mission is to build community and ignite change by developing, elevating, and empowering the API leaders of tomorrow.
“This new partnership with Ascend NorCal demonstrates Leavey’s commitment to elevating and supporting business leaders of all backgrounds and communities,” said Ed Grier, dean of the Leavey School of Business. “A key pillar of our Leavey Plus strategic plan focuses on forging partnerships like this one to provide educational and networking opportunities for our diverse students, alumni, and business community members, and to expand on Leavey’s influence and impact throughout Silicon Valley, the Bay Area, and beyond.”
The upcoming April 11th event at the Leavey School of Business is the first event of this partnership, featuring a fireside chat on leadership in the age of AI: navigating innovation, security, and executive leadership. This discussion will bring together industry leaders to explore AI’s impact on executive decision-making, business strategy, and the skills needed to lead in AI-powered industries. The event will provide attendees with opportunities to network, exchange ideas, and connect with professionals who are shaping the future of AI-driven leadership.

Looking ahead, this partnership will continue through Ascend NorCal’s Inspiring Across Generations (IAG) Conference and Year-End Leadership Roundtable at SCU, where Ascend NorCal will aim to deepen the conversation on leadership at every level and prepare professionals for the opportunities of 2026 and beyond.
Ascend is powered by a network of accomplished professionals and executives from global companies who generously volunteer their time in order to advance the state of API equity at work. The organization develops, supports, and empowers Pan-Asians throughout their careers with a network for growth and advancement that enables members to serve their vibrant communities to the best of their abilities.
