Reflecting the Accomplishments of Our Community
The College of Arts and Sciences recognized the exemplary work of faculty and staff in teaching, research, and service to students and the community during the 2023 Convocation Awards ceremony.
Kicking off this academic year, eleven faculty and staff members and one team in the College of Arts and Sciences received awards recognizing their work that has gone above and beyond in carrying out our Jesuit values at Santa Clara University.
“These awards are a chance for us all to take a good look at what we have achieved this past year—both individually and collectively,” says Daniel Press, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. “Many times, the hard work that we do is a reflection of our values and signals to the world that these particular things are important to us. I can’t think of a better way to recognize the accomplishments of our community than to call out the individuals who are doing that hard work and are making a difference here on campus.”
Although many staff and faculty members excelled in the past year, these individuals were recognized for outstanding commitment to the College and our community.
