The Office of Sustainability has moved to a new home! The Office of Sustainability is now located in Varsi Hall. Photo courtesy of SCU Office of Sustainability.

You can now find us on the second floor of Varsi Hall, in Mission Gardens. We are excited for this academic year and have many events planned to promote a culture of sustainability around campus! Exciting initiatives include the new Compost Pail project (and recent giveaway event), annual Campus Sustainability Day (10/24), Women’s Volleyball Green Game (10/25), and our new upper-classmen focused Sustainable Tips: After-College Knowledge (STACK) programs. We are also already gearing up for our annual Eco-Fashion and Art Show, too!

We are also pleased to welcome Cara K. Uy as our new Sustainability Coordinator. Cara graduated from SCU in 2011, majoring in communications & environmental studies. As a student, Cara worked with the Office of Sustainability as the Residence Life intern and initiated the Energy Challenge. She was also the Lucky Hinkle Sustainability Award recipient her senior year. After graduation, Cara served an Americorps term with Bronco Urban Gardens at The Forge as the Community Outreach and Education Program Coordinator. As Sustainability Coordinator, she will assist in the development and coordination of campus sustainability programs and initiatives.Cara Uy is the new Sustainability Coordinator.
