Welcome to February E-News from Campus Recreation!
This quarter is moving too fast - the rain is arriving but the Malley Center is dry and the pool is heated to 80 degrees so please do not stay away. Intramural Sports have over 1,300 students playing to date - you have not missed your chance we have two tournaments this quarter - February 28 cornhole and March 7 pickleball. Additionally, we will have a faculty/staff pickleball tournament on March 12. To learn more see below or visit the IM webpage. There are over 20 free fitness classes this quarter try to find time to squeeze one into your schedule there is no sign-up up needed and all are first come first serve. Faculty/Staff beginning tomorrow you can log those exercise minutes in the Annual Go Move Challenge - let's get the trophy back.
We hope to see you soon- our programs support your physical, emotional, communal, and spiritual wellness, and your well-being is important to us. You do not need 30 minutes or even 10 minutes to improve your well-being - stop by today to shoot some hoops or walk on the treadmill.

 | Winter fitness classes are in full swing but you can pop in anytime - you do not have to go weekly, and classes are all adapted for beginners, average and advanced attendees. All classes are free and we have over 8 classes a week for you to choose from. The most recent schedule can be found here. |
 | Campus Recreation is always looking for energetic students to lead new fitness classes. We have created a guide with resources for you to get started on your journey. See this presentation on Becoming a Fitness Instructor for achievable ways to become certified in many different types of classes! |
 | Lifeguard Recertification ClassIf you currently hold an American Red Cross Certification and need to get recertified, we will be offering a recertification class in late February or early March. Please email aquatics@scu.edu to be added to the list of interested attendees. |
 | All hours are subject to change based on student staffing availability. All users must be out of the facilities at the posted closing time. We will reopen Tuesday, Feb. 18.

If there are changes to the hours we will update them on the various hour calendars for the area impacted. These are public Google calendars and you can add them to your calendars by clicking the lower right + sign. If you want to know if the Malley Center or Pool is open please add these to your other calendars it is great to have the schedules in real-time.
All outdoor facilities (except the pool) will be open as normal for the rest of this week and weekend - please enjoy the outdoor fitness area, Beach Volleyball courts, outdoor basketball court, Bellomy Field and Bellomy Field track. |
 | We still have LOCKERS for rent - we have lockers in all locker rooms & all lockers are half-size lockers. Each locker room has two locker room spaces one for general use, and one with a code for faculty/staff. The front desk can give all faculty/staff the code. The annual fee is now pro-rated to $45 and lockers expire the Sunday before the first day of the fall quarter. See the Malley Center Front Desk staff to get your locker. |
 | Check out our hours for a chance to play pickleball, basketball, and indoor soccer against fellow faculty and staff members. This is a great chance to meet other fac/staff and play sports in a non-competitive environment! Reserved drop in times are as follows:
