Maryam Khanbaghi, with the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, has received a $25,000 award from Applied Systems Engineering to support her project "RTDS Models for Network of Microgrids."
Maryam Khanbaghi, with the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, has received a $25,000 award from Applied Systems Engineering to support her project "RTDS Models for Network of Microgrids."
This project is a collaboration between SCU and ASE / Kalkitech for Design, test and validate RTDS models for Substations and MicroGrids Performance benchmarking of Virtual Protective Relaying (VPR) systems using RTDS Design & Testing of Power Control Systems (UL 3141) and Power Plant Controllers for Large Renewable Plants and Microgrids Participate in IEEE / UL working group meetings and design review meetings with stakeholders and Publish whitepaper / technical papers on VPR and PCS / PPC.
