
Dean, Leavey School of Business
Ed Grier, a veteran global operations executive and business school leader, is the dean of Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business. He previously served as dean of the School of Business at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Executive Director, Markkula Center for Applied Ethics
Don Heider is the chief executive of the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics at Santa Clara University with responsibility for vision, strategy, fundraising, and leadership. In addition to his role as executive director, Heider serves as the John Courtney Murray, S.J. University Professor of Social Ethics and holds an appointment as a tenured Full Professor in the Department of Communication.

Executive Director, Miller Center for Social Entrepreneurship
Brigit Helms is the executive director of the Miller Center for Social Entrepreneurship with responsibility for the vision, strategy, fundraising, and leadership of the Center. As a Santa Clara University alumna, Helms is a veteran leader in global development, financial and economic inclusion, economic policy, and social entrepreneurship.

Dean, School of Law
Michael J. Kaufman is the dean of Santa Clara University's School of Law. Prior to joining SCU, he served as dean of Loyola University Chicago School of Law and as associate dean for academic affairs.

Interim Dean, School of Engineering
Chris Kitts was appointed Interim Dean of the School of Engineering in August 2024. He also holds appointments as a Professor of Mechanical Engineering, the William and Janice Terry Professor, and the Associate Dean for Interdisciplinary Programs in the School of Engineering.

Vice President for Enrollment Management
Eva Blanco Masias is responsible for setting and leading the strategic direction of all admission and recruitment efforts for first-year and transfer students, including oversight of all technical and marketing initiatives.

Vice Provost for Graduate Programs
Toby McChesney is the Vice Provost for Graduate Programs for Santa Clara University and has served in this role since July 2021. He oversees recruiting, marketing, branding, new program development for the graduate programs in the Leavey School of Business, School of Engineering, School of Education Counseling & Psychology, School of Law and the Jesuit School of Theology.

Vice Provost for Academic Affairs
Kate Morris oversees the development of programs and services to support the academic mission of the University. Kate provides support to the Provost and Executive Vice President in the areas of faculty development, teaching innovation, undergraduate and graduate studies. The VPAA also supervises the university library, career center and museum.

Dean, Jesuit School of Theology
Agbonkhianmeghe Orobator, S.J.
An esteemed Jesuit theologian, speaker, and leader, Agbonkhianmeghe E. Orobator, S.J., STL ’98, Hon. ’12, serves as the dean of the Jesuit School of Theology. Prior to his appointment as dean, he was the president of the Jesuit Conference of Africa and Madagascar, responsible for leading the inter-provincial mission of the Society of Jesus in the region.

Dean, College of Arts and Sciences
Versed in bringing together scholars from disparate disciplines, Daniel Press creates innovative interdisciplinary collaborations among the faculty. His experience in both leading and serving positions him to expand upon the vision of the College and to engage faculty and staff in achieving its goals.

Vice Provost for Student Life
Jeanne Rosenberger provides leadership in developing innovative co-curricular programs and student support services that respond to student needs and campus issues related to student life outside the classroom.

Vice Provost for Planning and Institutional Effectiveness
Ed Ryan works with the College and schools on issues related to enrollment planning, faculty human resource planning, educational environment planning, strategic planning, and institutional effectiveness. He also supervises the Offices of Assessment, Institutional Research, and the Registrar, and serves as the Accreditation Liaison Officer to the WASC Senior College and University Commission.

Dean, School of Education and Counseling Psychology
Sabrina Zirkel is a well-established scholar who studies race, ethnicity, gender, and class across all sectors of education. Prior to SCU, she served as Associate Dean in the School of Education at Mills College.
