Katie Williams has been with the University since 2016. She worked in the Music Department before joining the Faculty Affairs team. She received her B.B.A. in Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University and her J.D. degree from Santa Clara University.
Before joining Santa Clara University, Katie had a successful career as a Public Relations professional within the high-tech industry. With a wide ranging portfolio spanning from early startups to publicly held global entities, she supported product launches, company announcements, positioning, and speakers’ programs.
Prior to her work in PR, Katie studied law at Santa Clara University and was an insurance defense attorney. This experience provided her with a unique blend of analytical rigor and creative flair to every client's communication objectives. Her ability to blend rational analysis with creativity and humor has been instrumental in crafting compelling narratives that resonate with target audiences. Her quick thinking and communication style have made her indispensable in securing media coverage for clients, as she consistently articulates the newsworthiness of their endeavors.
Beyond her professional achievements, Katie's natural ability to relate to others has endeared her to press, clients, and colleagues alike. Her approachable demeanor and exceptional interpersonal skills have made her a trusted ally in navigating complex communication challenges.
