About

                                              Basic Needs Program

The Basic Needs program seeks to raise awareness and offer resources to help meet the fundamental needs of students at Santa Clara University. By participating in the program, students can access both on-campus and off-campus resources tailored to their specific situations.

Guided by our Culture of CARE, the program supports students in identifying the underlying causes of basic needs challenges and in creating long-term strategies to ensure that all SCU students have their essential needs met.

Accessing Basic Needs Support

Please complete the Basic Needs Intake form and a member of the Basic Needs Support Team will contact you, or the referred student, in one business day to set up a time for an intake meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to collect information to determine which resources will be most beneficial and to initiate access to such resources.

Qualifications to Receive Support

2. Complete the online Intake form on the Basic Needs website, and
3. Speak with a Basic Needs support team member to provide access to funding and discuss resources and support services.

Requests are confidential and will be honored without the need for documented proof.
