U.S. President-elect Donald Trump says he wants the United States to be the world leader in artificial intelligence and crypto currency. To that end, he has selected David Sacks, a Silicon Valley entrepreneur and investor, to be the AI and crypto czar, an appointment that will not require confirmation by the U.S. Senate.
"The challenge for anyone is going to be to try to manage two emerging technologies and methods of finance that are quickly evolving," says John Pelissero, director, goverment ethics.
"It's going to be difficult for the public to know that when it comes to how the Trump administration is going to approach AI or crypto policy that it will be done in the public interest."
John Pelissero, director, government ethics, interviewed by Voice of America (VOA).
