The Examined Year: 2021
The PhilosophyTalk podcast welcomed Brian Green, Director of Technology Ethics at the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics at Santa Clara University, to the show to discuss ethical concerns with civilian space flights.
"Some objectives require having people in space, and others do not," says Green in a discussion about the value of manned space missions. "We need to be responsible for ourselves because we are the only ethically capable creatures that we know of. If we destroy ourselves, then ethics escape from the universe."
