Shane Hughes ’20, a 2019-20 Hackworth Fellow with the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics at Santa Clara University, explores student perspectives regarding COVID-19.
In early March, the Santa Clara University community was informed that classes were going to move online and the campus was closing until further notice due to the growing threat of the pandemic. As a Hackworth Fellow focusing on sports ethics, Shane had to pivot his original project and decided to interview the 2019-20 Hackworth Fellows to get their perspectives on COVID-19. Shane documented their realizations about how COVID-19 has impacted their society, their communities, and themselves.
As his official project as a Hackworth Fellow, Shane Hughes '20 interviewed each of the 2019-20 Hackworth Fellows about how they've been impacted by COVID-19.
