Reese will provide his perspectives on Catholic news, issues, and culture
Ethics Center Distinguished Visiting Scholar Jesuit priest Thomas J. Reese has joined the Religion News Service as a senior analyst, and will contribute a weekly column focused on Catholicism, the Vatican, and Pope Francis. He will offer insightful analyses and critiques of issues and debates in the Catholic world that have a relevance to, or resonance on, wider culture. The RNS, founded in 1934, is an award-winning source of global news on religion, spirituality, culture and ethics. Reese was most recently senior analyst for the National Catholic Reporter from March 2013 to June 2017.
“Father Tom Reese has been one of the leading U.S. writers on the Catholic church for over thirty years, and we’re delighted to have him join our team,” said Thomas Gallagher, RNS CEO and Publisher. “Tom’s analysis combines a deep understanding of the theological and political issues within the church, of those leading it, and the implications for the world."
