Kawal Preet Discusses Internship at Adobe
Finds Learning About Corporate Compliance Invaluable
SCU senior Kawal Preet enjoyed her recent Business Ethics internship at Adobe so much and was so successful in it, she's staying on for a full-time position this fall. Preet first learned of and applied for the Ethics Center's internship program as a junior, and her experience being a Compliance intern has provided her with important exposure to corporate ethics issues that she could not have learned in the classroom. With duties ranging from expense report analysis to updating compliance investigations in a master database, Preet enjoyed a wide range of experiences, enhanced by her prior exposure to relevant SCU courses in business ethics, as well as a deep knowledge of Excel.
"Honestly, I was surprised by how interesting compliance can be. I went in with a certain expectation of repetitive work, but was pleasantly surprised by the different projects I got to work on. Being a compliance intern at Adobe has been one of the best internship experiences of my college career," she comments.
