The Ethics Center welcomes Elmer Huh to the Ethics Center Advisory Board. The Advisory Board is composed of distinguished off-campus community members who provide the Center with ideas and counsel from independent perspectives, assistance with fundraising and planning, and communication between the Center and external constituencies.

Huh currently leads the investment team at M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust as Chief Investment Officer and works with trustees in managing the trust’s portfolio.

He began working with the Ethics Center in 2023 through participation in the Responsible AI Venture Council (RAIVC), helping to develop a framework to guide venture investment practices in responsible AI. RAIVC is part of the Center's Lucas Institute for Venture Ethics which focuses on studying and promoting applied ethics in venture capital.

Previously, Huh held financial advisory roles as senior manager at EY, senior vice president at Barclays Capital, and executive director at Morgan Stanley. He has also served on the board of many nonprofits and organizations focused on strategy, sustainability, and leadership development.

Huh graduated with honors from Columbia University with a B.S. in mechanical engineering, an M.S. in industrial engineering, and an M.B.A. in international finance from Columbia Business School

As an Advisory Board member, Huh brings ideas and expertise in the areas of private equity, venture capital, portfolio management, M&A valuation, private company valuation, accounting & financial reporting issues, capital structure analysis, competitive analysis, and financing.

"Elmer brings with him valuable experience and contacts in investing, and public and private equity, which will be a great asset to the center," said Ethics Center Executive Director Don Heider.

The Ethics Center staff is delighted to welcome Huh to the Advisory Board and looks forward to benefiting from his financial and investment expertise in guiding future Center initiatives.
