The 2024-25 Ethics Bowl squads from Santa Clara University competed on December 7th in the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl California Regional competition hosted by Stanford University.

The two teams competed by addressing cases about human interaction with wildlife in national parks, ID verification for porn sites, facial recognition technology at airports, NDAs, cell phone bans in K-12 schools, and the ethics of eDNA. Both teams finished the day with 2 wins and 1 loss, finishing 8th and 12th overall out of twenty-seven teams.

Team Coach, Erin Bradfield, senior lecturer, philosophy, commented on the high level of performance that both teams from SCU exhibited and was proud of their effort against the teams that ultimately made it to the finals.
