Sociologist Andreana Clay from SFSU gave a vibrant and lively talk about the impact of music on social movements
Our department hosted Professor Andreana Clay of the Department of Sociology at SFSU through our Visiting Scholar program. Professor Clay studies Black culture, youth activism, and hip-hop feminism, as well as how youth of color organize and identify as activists. On April 20, 2023, Andreana Clay shared her research on the social history and soundtracks of the civil rights movement, LGBTQ+ movements, feminist movements and more.
