My present research in Dr. Halladay's lab deals with the neuronal network alterations in the midbrain caused by childhood trauma. We use laboratory mice as our model system for our in vivo and in vitro studies. We compare the behavior, brain activities and neuronal marker expressions of the healthy and maternally separated groups, in order to find the potential therapeutic targets to combat social interaction deficits in adolescents.
