Vincent (Qiru) Zhang is an Assistant Professor of Accounting in the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University. He earned his Ph.D. in Accounting from Duke University and his Bachelor of Management from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law in China. He is an affiliate member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder, and a Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) certified sustainability professional. Before joining academia, Vincent worked as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Shenzhen, China.
Vincent is interested in empirical-archival Financial Accounting research. His research investigates how accounting information helps investors make decisions in the municipal bond market. His papers also examine the impact of regulatory changes and accounting standard changes.
