Dr. Osofsky, a California native, was born in Hayward, California and grew up in the neighboring town of San Lorenzo. He has degrees in zoology and genetics from the University of California, Berkeley and was on the crew team. He attended the University of California, San Francisco, School of Pharmacy for two years and headed east to medical school at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. He completed internships and residency at Children's Hospital San Francisco, now known as California Pacific Medical Center. He's boarded in general pediatrics and has 37 years of private practice seeing patients into their 30s. He has been the past Chairman of Pediatrics at El Camino Hospital, Los Gatos, Vice President of Community Health for the Santa Clara County Medical Association (SCCMA). Currently, he is the Vice President of Professional Standards and Conduct and a member of the Environmental Committee for SCCMA, in addition to being a delegate to the California Medical Association. Dr Osofsky is married with four children and many grandchildren.
