Margot is in her final year of the Counseling Psychology Masters program at SCU pursuing MFT licensure. Margot graduated with a B.A. in Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles where she worked as a transfer student advisor to the Counseling and Psychological Services department refining mental health initiatives and collaborating with students and staff on wellness outreach.
Margot honors that the client will always be the expert in their unique experience and goals. By bringing the skills and training she has learned to her work with clients, Margot believes that a collaborative therapeutic alliance has the potential to increase a client's insights into their patterns, bring meaning to their relationships and facilitate alignment with their values.
Margot integrates evidence-based approaches and psychoeducation into sessions with the goal of connecting clients with their autonomy and intrinsic self-worth. Margot strives to create an open environment of self-compassion and self-reflection in therapy. She believes therapy is not one-size-fits all and is committed to meeting her clients where they are. Margot will collaborate with clients, empowering them in the process of accomplishing their goals.
