Eight Dimensions of Well-Being

Eight Dimensions of Well-Being

Well-being is a multidimensional process of achieving a healthy balance throughout one’s lifetime. SCU’s Well-Being Model has eight dimensions and was created as a guide to help enhance our SCU community's pursuit of a healthy, balanced lifestyle. Each of the eight dimensions is presented by an icon that will assist individuals in understanding how programs and events will help enhance their wellness.

Our commitment to well-being stems from "Cura Personalis"—the Jesuit value of "Care of the Whole Person." Whether you want to find resources to help you deepen in a particular practice of self-care, a mentor to talk with individually, or events that help you connect with other Broncos, there are so many resources available for you! Explore each aspect of the Well-Being Wheel to connect and thrive.

Student Health, Counseling, and Well-Being consists of Student Medical Services (SMS), Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the Wellness Center. We are here for you throughout your journey at SCU. We offer care at any step of the way to support your overall well-being.

One Column
Student Community Well-Being Grant

Students can apply for a well-being grant to fund a wellness initiative!
Funding can range from $100 to $3000 and priority will go to those who draw connections across campus departments, programs and services that promote student personal development and well-being that connects to one or more of the Eight Dimensions of Well-Being. Examples include speaker or panel series, performances, art installations, workshops, meals, etc. The advisory committee reviewing and approving grants is composed of a student from each residential community and a graduate student.

Applications are reviewed each month on the second Monday of the month. Submit your applications by the 1st of each month to be considered for that application cycle.
If you have a time-sensitive request (e.g. an event for finals week), please email jmunoz2@scu.edu with the rationale for your time-sensitive request as well as an itemized budget. Thank you for your care of our community!
