Swim Lessons
Our lessons are scheduled privately versus scheduled as classes. It is up to you whether your lesson is one-on-one or if you have a friend you'd like to have join you, you can arrange for a small group private lesson.
What do lessons cost?
Individual lessons are $120 for either six half-hour lessons or three one-hour lessons. For a group of two, six half-hour lessons are $160. For a group of three, six half-hour lessons are $200.
What ages are the lessons open to?
Ages 6 months and up.
When are the lessons?
The Aquatics Coordinator books lessons based the availability of you and your instructor.
How do I sign up?
To sign up, please fill out this Swim Lesson Interest Form. The form can be faxed to 408-551-7180 or if you have Adobe Reader (9.0 or higher), you can fill it out on your computer and email the saved form to aquatics@scu.edu.
You must also fax us a signed liability waiver or you can bring it on the day of your first lesson and turn it in at the Malley Center Front Desk. If the participant is a minor, please use this form. If the participant is over 18 years of age, please use this form.
What kind of experience do the instructors have?
All instructors have experience teaching swim lessons and some are certified as a American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors. To find out more about each instructor, please email aquatics@scu.edu.
Can you choose an instructor?
Yes, if you have a preferred instructor, please note his or her name in the email you send to aquatics@scu.edu.
What will I learn?
Our instructors plan their lessons similar to the American Red Cross program.
