All students attending Summer Orientation, including students planning to live off campus in the fall, are required to stay in the residence halls while at Summer Orientation. This will be a prime opportunity for you to experience Santa Clara's residential life and meet other new students. Because Summer Orientation is an important academic and social experience, full student participation is needed. Students are not permitted to leave campus at any time during the two-day session. Santa Clara understands the challenge in making travel plans for Summer Orientation. Therefore, we will provide housing for those students who arrive one day early or need to stay one day later at no additional charge. If you need extended housing, please contact us at least FIVE DAYS prior to your arrival at orientation@scu.edu and include your name, student ID number, cell phone number, and flight information. We are unable to accommodate parents in on-campus lodging during Orientation. To assist parents with their accommodations, please view our list of hotels located close to campus. We recommend that you contact a hotel at least four weeks in advance. Students attending the International Student Orientation in September will be permitted to move into their residence hall beginning Sunday, September 9, 2012. More information regarding your move-in will be available to you throughout the summer. If you have questions about your housing assignment, please contact Housing and Residence Life at 408-554-4900 or housing@scu.edu.
