Purpose:

This is a full-time position, currently funded by an 18-month grant. Providing administrative support to the Project Manager and staff includes general clerical, receptionist, and project based work.

I. Rank

Full time position, 18 month appointment, reappointment subject to limits of funding.

II. California DNA Post Conviction Assistance Program

This program is funded by the NIJ Postconviction DNA Testing Assistance Program. It will systematically identify and review the California cases that are the subject of the program grant, search for testable DNA evidence, and in appropriate cases, seek testing of that evidence.

III. Essential Functions

  1. Perform general clerical duties
  2. Maintain hard copy and electronic filing system
  3. Coordinate and maintain records for staff
  4. Setup and coordinate meetings
  5. Support Project Manager and staff in assigned project based work

IV. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong written and oral communication skills, well-organized, and skilled in managing and collecting documents. Experience with database management software.

V. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years Administrative Assistant experience.
