When applying for regular decision, you should plan to apply for financial aid as early as possible. This allows us to prepare your financial aid award.

Steps to apply for financial aid

1. File a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) between January 1 and February 1. Santa Clara University's federal school code is 001326. We highly recommend that you submit the FAFSA online. Prior to filing online, you and one of your parents must obtain a Federal Student Aid Personal Identification Number (PIN) through the U.S. Department of Education.

NOTE: You do not need to file your 2013 federal income tax return prior to completing a 2014-15 FAFSA. Estimate your income on the FAFSA to the best of your ability. Once you have completed your 2013 federal income tax return, you will need to revise your 2014-15 FAFSA information through FAFSA on the Web.

2. File a CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE by February 1. Santa Clara University's CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE code is 4851.

3. California Residents: submit a Cal Grant GPA Verification Form to be considered for the Cal Grant program. The GPA Verification Form must be completed and postmarked by March 2.
