The National Hospice Foundation recognized Dale Larson, Ph.D. as “… one bold innovator who forged ahead in the face of conventional wisdom for a vision of a world where everyone facing serious illness, death, and grief will experience the best that humankind can offer.”

Dale Larson, Ph.D., Professor of Counseling Psychology was honored by the 2018 National Hospice Foundation for, among many other noteworthy achievements in the field of hospice care, his “…pioneering contributions to end-of-life care and training throughout his career.”  He was celebrated for his passionate, deep commitment to better care for the dying and the bereaved, his insightful and inspiring vision regarding the importance of end-of-life care, and his innovative efforts to improve the care and training for those who need this care and their caregivers.  “These contributions will continue to reverberate far into the future, helping all those who will need this care, and the caregivers who come to their aid.” Faculty Profile
