Gaining Access to the Collection

The de Saisset Museum welcomes requests from faculty, students, and researchers to view and study our collections. We are committed to providing opportunities for integrated education and are happy to work with you to make access to the collection possible.

Access to the collection is by appointment, Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Object requests must be made in advance; we are unable to accommodate "browsing." Please make your requests as early as possible, as it may take up to four weeks to arrange an appointment. Contact Assistant Director Lindsey Kouvaris at 408.554.4528 or for information on objects and/or to make an appointment.

Please note: In addition to viewing collection objects by appointment, objects can also be placed in display cabinets in Gallery IV, on the lower level, for independent study during the Museum's open hours. The cases are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, with preference given to SCU faculty and student requests. Please make your request well in advance to allow ample time for objects to be pulled and placed on display.
