Overview
This is an overview of the formatting options currently available in the HTML Email page layout and associated content types. You can make changes to the page using the HTML Email Config content type, and choose from a few custom content types for message content. Page formatting options include:
- Header Image - select the default SCU header image, or one of your own
- Subheader text, and 6 options for background colors
- Custom publication date and site home page links in the header
- Custom home, privacy policy, and unsubscribe links in the footer
- Custom contact information in the footer
Content types created for the HTML Email page layout include:
- HTML Email - General Content
- HTML Email - General Content - Two Columns
- HTML Email - Content Divider
- HTML Email - List Item
- HTML Email - Story Display
- HTML Email - Call to Action (two display options)
- HTML Email - Full Size Image (with optional link)
- HTML Email - Single Event (still working on including LiveWhale events)
HTML Email content is going to be limited by the capabilities of web email clients, so these content types were selected and formatted specifically for email delivery. Popular content types like the accordion, grid, video embed, and media gallery aren't available for HTML Email, due to the comparatively primitive support for CSS and Javascript in web email clients.
Typography Examples
Paragraph text. Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth, on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.
Second paragraph, with a link. Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived, and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting-place for those who here gave their lives, that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.
