Theatre and Dance Scholarships

Scholarships/Financial Aid

The Department of Theatre and Dance offers merit based scholarships specific to Theatre Arts majors, which are grants that help offset tuition costs. Scholarship expectations include continued participation in the department’s production program (acting/dance/tech/design/stage management) or other department activities each quarter; a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the Theatre Arts major and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.

We begin accepting scholarship applications for the next academic year in early November. Auditions are submitted online with group interviews held via Zoom in mid-February/early March; workshops and final interviews for these scholarships will be held in Mayer Theatre during Preview Days. Awards will be made after Acceptance of admission into SCU/Preview Days.

NOTE: Auditions are NOT required to declare a Theatre and Dance major.
