CHOCOLATE CHIP FRIDAYS
By David Lee White

During my time here at SCU, I have felt so many emotions and learned many lessons. One of the most important lessons I have learned here is to surround yourself with good people and try to laugh when times get hard. Therefore, for my senior project, I wanted to direct something that was more lighthearted and funny. Once I came across Chocolate Chip Fridays by David Lee White, I thought this would be an amusing one-act to direct. This one-act deals with the idea that even when you meet someone on the wrong foot, you should try to give them a chance because you never know their full story. My cast and crew have made this a lovely and funny production, so please enjoy and laugh at Chocolate Chip Fridays!

BINDERS
By Rachael Carnes

Binders is the culmination of my work here at SCU. It brings together all of the tools that I have learned from the department and my professional career. When looking for a one act I wanted to find a mixture of humor and drama. It was a fun challenge to tackle the absurdity of this one act and its themes. Through its absurdity it highlights the way that we cope with climate change and its effects on our society. This was a challenging and rewarding experience for my entire cast and crew as it made us all take a new approach to the creative process.

Binders and Chocolate Chip Fridays are presented by special arrangement with the playwrights through New Play Exchange, www.newplayexchange.org.
