CLARA
By Arthur Miller
I have always been drawn to theatre that makes the audience think about what they are watching and reflect on moments where they had a strong reaction or felt uncomfortable. I wanted to choose a play that would hopefully start a dialogue
around some of the beliefs held by certain characters. The characters of Kroll and Fine in Arthur Miller's 1983 play, Clara, have similar beliefs to some people in our country today. Besides the extremely well-written dialogue, the troubling beliefs of these characters make this play timely and worth reviving. So I challenge you, the audience - if there are moments in this show that make you uncomfortable, please do not just brush them aside. Think about why you had the reaction you did and what conversations we need to have to help us move forward. Please enter into the world of the play with an open mind and join us as we tell a vital story about memory and how it can be altered.

BOY MEETS GIRL: A YOUNG LOVE STORY
By Sam Wolfson
I first selected Boy Meets Girl for its witty commentary on modern relationships, and found over the course of the re- hearsal process that this play is more relevant now than ever. The awkward innocence of Sam and Katie’s kindergarten romance rings especially true as we begin to reestablish or find new personal connections after 18 months of seeing each other as tiny squares on a screen. Between the playground and the classroom, this story is one you’ve seen before and will see countless times again as we navigate what it means to interact with strangers again. One could call Boy Meets Girl just a series of clichés, but I ask you to take off your rose-colored glasses and perhaps you’ll realize that there are some things about human relationships that are unchangeable despite time, age, and circumstances.
