CALL IT CLOVER
By Will Calhoun
I was drawn to Call It Clover because, while it shows the negative side of its characters, it also shows their depth as well. Negative personality traits are not just there because someone is a horrible person. People are complicated -- perhaps they are the way they are because of something that happened. The fact that good people have bad sides, and bad people good sides, adds a layer of complexity to people. This type of complexity is fascinating, and exploring that is part of what makes theater so fascinating.
My thanks to the cast and crew, the wonderful faculty, and Sara for all helping to make this show come together.
