Caprese Salad
Ingredients:
- 3 large ripe heirloom tomatoes
- 1 pound mozzarella
- olive oil
- salt and pepper
- basil
- balsamic glaze
Directions:
- While mozzarella is cold, slice into 1/4 inch thick slices. Set aside and allow it to come to room temperature.
- Wash and slice tomatoes into 1/4 inch thick slices. Sprinkle generously with salt.
- Arrange mozzarella and tomato slices so that they overlap slightly. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Top with basil leaves, and drizzle with olive oil. Add balsamic glaze if desired. Enjoy!
