What is your project about? I will research the analysis of existing financial securities, such as green bonds, supporting Northern California's decarbonization initiatives. I aim to evaluate their strengths, limitations, and accessibility for Latino-owned SMEs. I aspire to identify market gaps that could significantly drive decarbonization within these communities, contributing to Santa Clara's broader sustainability objectives and equitable economic growth.

How will this fellowship support you in your future scholarship/career goals? Offering a unique platform to delve into applied research, I will be able to blend my passion for finance, sustainability, and equitable development. It will enable me to explore and understand the difficulties of green finance and allow me to leverage this experience to drive impactful change in sustainable finance.

Other passions, hobbies, fun facts, or anything else you want to share: I am a leader for SCU's Into the Wild and enjoy golfing and surfing.
