Veronica Johnson is a sustainability professional with five years of experience in higher education. She earned a BA in Environmental Engineering from Rice University while interning at the institution's Administrative Center for Sustainability and Energy Management. She earned an MBA in Sustainability from Bard College during her 3 year tenure as the Sustainability Coordinator at Southwestern University. She recently began pursuing an EdD in Educational Sustainability from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Veronica's research interests include finding ways to equip faculty across the curriculum with the tools they need to embed sustainability topics and high-impact practices for applied sustainability learning into their classrooms. She is a strong advocate for social justice, human rights, climate action, wildlife conservation, and advancing the circular economy. Through collaborations with campus stakeholders, Veronica strives to equip students with the knowledge and skills to make a sustainable difference in local communities and beyond.
