Enterprise Risk Management

It is important for Santa Clara University to maintain a strong risk management culture throughout the institution. To accomplish this, SCU will undertake an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) approach to proactively identify, assess, prioritize, and mitigate risk.

  • Risk - Effect of uncertainty on objectives
  • Risk Management - Coordinated activities to direct and control and organization with regard to risk
  • Enterprise Risk Management - A process that helps manage diverse organizational risks and supports successful achievement of objectives
