Schedule

All practices are optional. Workload will increase progressively thoughout the season. Please ask Coach Jared if you would like to know specific sets and drills in advance. The schedule below reflects our usual weekly in-season schedule. See the Google Calender below for our real-time schedule.

Sunday:

  • Open Water Swim @ TBD (Depending on interest)

Monday:

  • Pool Swim @ Malley Pool (7:00 AM - 8:30 AM)

Tuesday:

  • Track Workout @ Bellomy Gate (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM)

Wednesday:

  • Pool Swim @ Malley Pool (7:00 AM - 8:30 AM)
  • Trainer Spin @ Malley Patio (5:45 PM - 7:30 PM)
  • Off-The-Bike Run @ Malley Patio (7:30 PM - 8:00 PM)

Thursday:

  • Track Workout @ Bellomy Gate (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM)

Friday:

  • Pool Swim @ Malley Pool (7:00 AM - 8:30 AM)
  • Evening Ride @ Bellomy Gate (4:00 PM - 6:00 PM)

Saturday:

  • Group Ride @ Bellomy Gate (9:00 AM)
  • Off-The-Bike Run @ Bellomy Gate after Group Ride

 

Swims:

  • Workouts are held in the Malley Pool Our swims are typically between 2,000-4,000 yards. We focus on drills/techniques for a portion of the workout and then jump into our sets. We focus on shorter sets at the beginning of the week and longer sets at the end. Depending on group interest, we may host an open water swim on the weekends.

Run Practices:

  • For run workouts, we meet at the main gate to Bellomy Field by the bike racks. Most run workouts are done on the dirt path surrounding Bellomy Field. Workouts consist of intervals and longer tempo/threshold efforts as well as some easy off-campus runs mixed in.

Group Rides:

  • We have two team rides per week: a night ride on Friday and a morning ride on Saturday. Friday rides are shorter tempo rides where we push the pace and work on group riding skills like drafting. Expect rides to be between 20-25 miles. Lights are required.
  • Saturday rides are no-drop rides at a more casual pace than Wednesday. These rides typically have some sustained climbing involved. Expect to ride between 35-50 miles. For both Friday and Saturday rides, we will meet at the main gate to Bellomy Field by the bike racks.
  • Our trainer workouts on the Malley Patio are done on stationary trainers and are meant to focus on continuous power output and interval training. They usually include an off-the-bike run afterwards as well.
