Hello Broncos! We have 22 competitive Club Sport teams at SCU that compete locally, regionally, and nationally against other universities. Each month during the academic year, we ask them to report what they have been up to, and those that submit information will be sent out in this monthly e-mail. Not every Club Sport will report each month.

Keep your eyes on the starboard—SCU Sailing has great adventures ahead! 🌊 We are gearing up for the Stoney Burke Regatta in Richmond, CA on October 19-20 and the St. Francis Fall Dinghy Regatta in San Francisco, CA on October 26-27. Along with these events, we'll continue with our regular Sunday practices and Wednesday night chalk talks to sharpen our skills. What’s good SCU?! Hope the quarter’s kicking off to a great start. We’re excited to be back in the dojo! We’re always excited to meet new members, everyone is welcome, regardless of martial arts experience. Even if you can’t add an entire sport onto your plate, you’re more than welcome to join our quarterly self-defense workshops! The swim team is back on deck and ready for the season. Our swimmers are already practicing and working hard to train for meets! The Triathlon Team’s season is off to a hot start, traveling to Davis this weekend for their opening race: The UC Davis Aggieathon (October 6)! Practices are underway as well, swimming on Mon/Wed/Fri, running on Tue/Thu, and Biking on Saturdays. Athlete’s fitness is sure to get back into form in no time as their next races include the UC Berkeley Bearathlon on October 27 and UCSB’s Kendra’s Race on November 10.

WOMEN'S CLUB SPORTS

Women’s Club Soccer tryouts have officially come to a close, and we are so excited to start our season! Thank you to all of the amazing players who tried out for the team. We had an amazing turn out of 50 girls who tried out! We were thrilled to have had our first game against UC Davis (October 6) and our new players to see the soccer field. With our busy schedule ahead of us, make sure to come support our first home game on October 12 against Stanford (Stanton Field at 1 p.m.)! Keep a look out for further information about our winter tryouts in the future!

Women’s Ultimate (Rage) is kicking off the 2024-2025 season with a bang! We are so excited to show up and show out at our two upcoming tournaments in October (held at Chico State and SLO)! If you are interested to join us for practices, reach out to the email or phone number below.  Come hang with us if you want to meet your best friends and learn a fun new sport! No experience necessary! Rage facilitates a fun, supportive environment for all Santa Clara students.
