Dear Colleagues:
The administration’s bargaining team and the faculty bargaining team had a very productive session today. The parties reached tentative agreement on unemployment insurance, Public Service Loan Forgiveness program certification, and procedures related to non-tenure-track faculty applications for open tenure-track positions.
The administration’s bargaining team presented counter-proposals on non-tenure-track faculty titles and appointment procedures as well as service and professional development. The faculty bargaining team presented counter-proposals on discipline and discharge and on leaves of absence.
The next bargaining session is scheduled for September 1. The parties remain optimistic about our progress toward a mutually agreeable contract. You can find current information regarding these efforts on our bargaining website.
