Dear Colleagues,
Today marks the start of collective bargaining for the Santa Clara University administration, the faculty bargaining team, and SEIU Local 1021, which represents most non-tenure-track faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences, Leavey School of Business, School of Engineering, and School of Education and Counseling Psychology.
Our goal is to reach a mutually agreeable contract that supports our valued colleagues and advances our shared efforts to build a world-class university grounded in our Jesuit mission.
We are committed to a respectful process that is as efficient as possible. Please know that it is common for it to take many months to reach a first tentative agreement as wages, hours, benefits, and many working conditions and employment terms will be negotiated. We will keep you informed through regular post-session updates shared via email and posted online.
