June 1, 2020
Dear Graduate Students,
As a follow-up to the President’s Fall 2020 Update, I write to provide an update on fall 2020 schedules for our graduate programs in Business, Engineering, Law, and Pastoral Ministries. The following schedule changes have been approved by the Academic Affairs Committee and are consistent with current accreditation rules.
- Leavey School of Business - Most graduate programs in the School of Business will be 100% online for the fall 2020 quarter. The Executive MBA program will be offered in person with safety measures consistent with Santa Clara County and State public health guidance.
- School of Engineering - Graduate programs in the School of Engineering will be 100% online for the fall quarter of 2020.
- School of Law - The School of Law will be >50% online for the fall 2020 semester, and 100% if necessary. In-person instruction will be consistent with County and State public health guidance. Fall recess is cancelled.
- Graduate Program in Pastoral Ministries - The Graduate Program in Pastoral Ministries will be 100% online for the fall 2020 quarter.
Decisions about the fall schedule for the School of Education & Counseling Psychology and the Jesuit School of Theology are forthcoming and will be announced soon.
We recognize that many of you want to learn from and engage with your faculty and peers in person. While we look forward to the day when we can all meet in person, our faculty and staff in the graduate programs are working tirelessly to create a high quality academic experience for you. The deans’ offices will be in touch with you shortly to share additional details about fall plans for each graduate program.
We appreciate your patience and your loyalty to the Bronco community.
Sincerely,
Lisa Kloppenberg Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs
