As Senior Assistant Dean of Graduate Business Programs, Toby oversees the offices of admissions, student services, career services, and program management for three MBA programs which serve approximately 500 MBA students and four Master of Science programs which serve approximately 300 Master of Science students. Toby was instrumental in launching a number of new online programs and improving the overall strength and size of the student body. Toby’s efforts have bolstered the Leavey School of Business into top national rankings by US News and World Report (2021) for its Executive MBA Programs (#13), Part-time MBA Programs (#20), and Online MBA (#40).
As Vice Provost for Graduate Programs, Toby will provide leadership and advocacy for the mission of graduate education across the University, working collaboratively with the Deans, Vice Presidents and their respective teams to advance high-caliber interdisciplinary graduate and professional programs at Santa Clara that are grounded in its Jesuit and Catholic mission and values; enhancing graduate student support and international student outreach; and exploring opportunities for DEI initiatives with internal stakeholders and external partners. With extensive experience in higher education, dedication to excellence in the graduate student experience, and commitment to Jesuit Catholic values, Toby will make important contributions to SCU’s graduate programs.
