  • Multicultural Welcome Reception

    This annual welcome reception is a celebration that welcomes BIPOC and LGBTQ+ first-year and transfer students to SCU. This event is a great opportunity to meet current students, faculty, and staff who can provide more information about cultural programs, activities, and resources on campus.  Students, staff, faculty and alumni please RSVP here.

     

     

  • Heritage Months

    OML collaborates with various student organizations and departments across campus to host a series of events to celebrate Chicanx/Latinx Heritage Month (September/October), Native American Heritage Month (November), Black History Month (February), National Arab American Heritage Month (April) and Asian Pacific Islander South Asian American Heritage Month (May).

    Multicultural Recognition Ceremonies

    OML coordinates a series of recognition ceremonies to celebrate the accomplishments of graduating students of color and LGBTQIA+ students.     • Black/PanAfrican (Tuesday, June 13th, 5:00pm-6:30pm)
    • Latinx (Sunday, June 11th, 2:00pm-3:30pm)
    • Lavender Graduation (Sunday, June 11th, 6:00pm-7:30pm)
    • Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) (Monday, June 12th, 6:30pm-7:30pm)
    • Native American (Monday, June 12th, 5:00pm-6:00pm)
    All times listed are Pacific Daylight Saving Time.

    *OML is aware of the many students that identify as multi-ethnic and/or multi-racial.
