Dear Santa Clara University Community,
Welcome to the Week 9 edition of the Prepared SCU Weekly Roundup. In this short Friday digest, we share key information related to SCU’s response to COVID-19.
COVID-19 Dashboard Update
This past week, the University 7-day test positivity rate ticked up to 0.3%, lower than the 1.4% positivity rate in Santa Clara County and 2.4% in California. Track our progress on our COVID-19 Dashboard.
Testing During the Week of Thanksgiving
Test kits will only be available in Benson Center on Monday, November 22. Returned samples will be picked up in Benson Center at 3 PM on Monday. There will be no test kit distribution or collection for the rest of Thanksgiving week. Test kits will again be available at all residence halls and academic buildings during Week 10 and Finals week.
Testing When You Return to Campus
All resident students who return to campus must get tested during Week 10 and Finals week. If you are an on-campus resident and you do not return to campus after the Thanksgiving break, this testing requirement will not apply to you.
What if I test positive during Thanksgiving break?
If you test positive during the Thanksgiving break, please observe all isolation protocols and precautions, and only return to class and campus after you complete your 10-day isolation period and are symptom free.
Wishing you a safe and rest-filled Thanksgiving holiday.
Stay safe and well,
SCU COVID-19 Operations Team
