Agbonkhianmeghe E. (“Bator”) Orobator, S.J., Dean of Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University
- Fr. Bator will be in Rome as a voting member of the General Assembly. He is known internationally for his scholarship and talks on ecclesiology—the study of the Church—as well as theological ethics, human rights, and human dignity, especially fuller participation of women in the life of the Church.
- Fr. Orobator will be subject to Vatican constraints against interviews about internal synod discussions, but may be able to write short essays on the importance of the synod and some of the important emergent themes.
Julie Rubio, Professor of Christian Social Ethics and Associate Dean, Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University
- Prof. Rubio is a professor of Christian ethics whose research focuses on family, feminism, sex, and politics. She’s a prolific author on the topics of feminist theology and family ethics.

Paul Schutz, Associate Professor and Interim Director of the Graduate Program in Pastoral Ministries
- Prof. Schutz is a professor of systematic theology whose research focuses on the meaning and significance of creation in the Christian tradition.

Elyse Raby, Assistant Professor of Religious Studies at Santa Clara University
- Prof. Raby, who will be in Rome for part of the synod, conducts research in the areas of ecclesiology and theological anthropology, as well as feminist theology and issues of gender and sexuality
