Alumni & Campus Visitors

Alumni are entitled to a free courtesy card upon verification of their status through the Alumni Association.

Restrictions

Courtesy Cards cannot be used for:

  • borrowing titles from the Popular Reading Collection
  • borrowing periodicals, microforms, and other non-print or non-circulating materials,
  • remote access to most electronic databases that are licensed for SCU students, faculty, or staff,
  • requesting materials from interlibrary loan or LINK+.

The sponsoring department chair, faculty member, or office should fill out a Visiting Scholar Access Request Google Form (SCU Login required) on behalf of each visiting scholar.

Please contact the Head of Access & Delivery Services for more information on obtaining library privileges for visiting scholars or researchers.

Applications for SCELC Cards may be submitted at the Library Help Desk, 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Restrictions

SCELC cards cannot be used for:

  • requesting items through interlibrary loan
  • remote access to SCU electronic databases

The library participates in the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities Library Passport direct reciprocal library borrowing program for AJCU faculty.

Applications for AJCU Cards may be submitted at the Library Help Desk.

Agreement

AJCU cards must be presented at the Library Help Desk to borrow materials from the Library's circulating collections for a maximum of 180 days. Materials may be renewed if they have not been requested by another user.

AJCU card holders are subject to all applicable lost materials charges.

Restrictions

AJCU cards cannot be used for:

  • requesting items through interlibrary loan
  • borrowing tablets
  • remote access to SCU electronic databases

LINK+ services, including visiting patron, paused due to library system changes.
