The Missing Peace

September 12 - December 14, 2011

The Missing Peace exhibit is a traveling exhibition of artworks in many media, created and donated by 88 artists from 30 countries. Conceived in 2004 in the San Francisco Bay Area, the exhibition's intention is to stimulate dialogue and inspire action leading to greater peace in the world. Each artist created a piece that reflects the messages of a living peacemaker, the 14th Dalai Lama.

Following a five-year world tour that included New York, Tokyo, Madrid and Stockholm, Santa Clara University is hosting a special exhibit of 28 works by renowned artists, such as Richard Avedon, Squeak Carnwath, Chuck Close, Binh Danh, and Mike and Doug Starn.
