In terms of location selection, with my intention of founding a publishing company from which I will produce my own novels, screenplays, and series of creative writings that will go onto finance my film productions and eventual fashion line, Milan was the natural choice. Being in the home of fashion week and the Borsa Italiana, I may be further integrated in the design and entertainment realms, while simultaneously increasing my experience in the financial field. This is especially relevant, as one of the courses I have selected is FNCE198, which is a credited internship. I have also chosen to take FNCE135 and 151, MKTG181, and an upper division Italian class. The finance courses will connect well with my studies at SCU as I will be completing their necessary prerequisites throughout this year, before I leave abroad, and allow me to fulfill all of my major requirements by the end of my junior year. Not to mention, it is obvious to opt to take International Finance, or FNCE151, abroad. The marketing course will likely be the first upper division business core class I take, other than the finance courses necessary to take the above electives, while the Italian program requirement became an excuse to
pick up an additional minor in International Business. This way, I will waste no time abroad and still be able to graduate a quarter early.
