Transfer Peer Mentors and Educators support our new transfer students throughout their first year at Santa Clara University. Peer mentors create community during LEAD Week, meet regularly with their mentees throughout their first year and plan activities for their mentoring groups. Transfer peer educators are a source of support and information in the Advanced LEAD Seminar class that introduces transfer students to SCU resources and leadership opportunities.

Hi! My name is Denae Rivera. I am from Hollister CA but grew up in East Side SJ. I am a Junior studying Communication and Ethnic Studies as a minor. My favorite class I've taken so far has been Racializing Jesus with Professor Mata.

A few fun facts about me are that I cheered for 13 years, I danced for 8 years, and I am a big foodie.

I addition to LEAD, some other organizations I am involved in are LLI (Latinx Leadership Incubator), and the Public Relations Coordinator at the MCC here on campus.

I am looking forward to meeting all of you!
